Happy Halloween!!!

I realize that Halloween isn't the whole week, but enjoy the "Happy Halloween" blog the whole week anyway. I mean, you enjoy the so called spoils or treasures for over a week many times.  And use that time to think back on all of your fond memories of Halloween. Do you remember your costumes? What was your favorite? Were you fortunate enough to go "trick or treating" all over town? Did you go as a family or with friends? Did your school let you wear your costume and did you have a school parade?

I remember how excited we all were as it got closer. Sadly I can only remember one costume I wore and that is probably because my Mom actually got a picture of it. We didn't wear our costumes all day; we either brought it to school with us and changed after lunch or went home. And since my house was only 3 blocks from the school (funny thing, it still is, hahaha) I would go home. The picture of me was as Tom Sawyer and a friend of mine came home and changed into her fairy costume as well. Don't know if that friend reads my blog, but if she does, make a comment!!! We loved walking down the halls of school and winding our way through all the classes in our Halloween parade with the song "Halloween! Halloween! Lots of fun on Halloween! Black cats and ghosts, skeletons, too, clowns and witches all say "Boo"!" blasting over the intercom. Does anyone else remember the rest of the song because that is all I can remember!?!?! And then we buddied up after school and hit the houses all over town in proper "trick-or-treat" fashion. And the candy and treats galore lasted us for weeks on end. Yes, those were the good old days when the only bad thing might be a scary costume you'd bump into along the way, but everyone enjoyed the time and seldom were there the worries and concerns of our present day problems. So enjoy those memories and have a great and "HAPPY HALLOWEEN"!!!!!
