He Knows!!
Jesus Christ totally knows and understands how it feels to be rejected, lied about, mis-treated, mis-trusted, and mentally, emotionally, physically, and socially beat upon. Even the leaders of the church in His day rejected Him, bad-mouthed Him, mis-treated Him, and told out and out lies about Him. He could have used His power to get back at them, but He refrained! He did, however, tell them what they were and what they were doing - truthfully, honestly, even, at times, forcefully! BUT not with hate and anger, probably more with pain and sorrow, for He knew they were wrong and where they were headed unless they changed their hearts and minds to see the full truth. There are several good questions I could ask that go along with this and I may work some into future blogs in the next few weeks, but today I just want you to re-read this carefully and slowly, pondering it on a personal level!
