Problems?!
Studying a scripture in the Book of Mormon a while back gave me thoughts as to what causes so many problems among people!?!? The scripture that brought this pondering to me is in Alma 50:21: ". . . for it has been their quarrelings and their contentions, yea, their murderings, and their plunderings, their idolatry, their whoredoms, and their abominations, which were among themselves, which brought upon them their wars and destructions." Yes, it is a rather negative scripture, but it made me stop and think about why so many problems occur. And the more I thought about it the more that the word "selfishness" kept popping into my thoughts. Many, if not most, of these problems are caused by selfishness! It is rather logical that problems, like these, among people are caused many times because they are more worried about "What's in this for me?" rather than "How can I help make things better?".
