Christmas Thought #2

Again, about the gift giving! Last week it was about our attitude of gratitude upon receiving gifts! Hopefully we will all remember that, AGAIN, it is the thought that counts. AND now to the giving of gifts! I have realized that when children are little the gift giving is easy, but as they get older it is harder because they are pickier or what they want is more expensive. It would be awesome if we all had the money necessary to give those loved ones all they really want, but sometimes it just isn't possible. So as we struggle this year to figure out what to give, let's remember that some of the greatest gifts we can give are time, service, and love. Yes, sometimes those can't be wrapped, but when all is said and done, someday those things will be remembered over and above the other gifts that were wrapped so nicely under the tree. These last few years have been hard on most everyone, what with the prices of everything skyrocketing, so let's be kind on receiving and loving as well on giving. Give what we can with a loving heart, but then  make sure that there is ALWAYS time spent with loved ones, love and kindness shown to them no matter what and service given whenever you can! And those are gifts that can start at Christmas, but should be shared the whole year long!!!
