Where to now?

      Last week I discussed step #2 or question 3 about why we are here on earth. Today I will answer "Where am I going after this life?" Of course, every one born on earth physically, lives and meets death in the end of this earth life. Death is only a separation of our spirits from our bodies. Our bodies are buried in the earth in one way or another and our spirits return to the spirit world which is now divided into Spirit Paradise and Spirit Prison. The choices we have made here on earth determine where we go. If we have tried to be good people and followed the teachings of Christ we go to Spirit Paradise; those that chose to ignore Christ's teachings and have not been the kindest or nicest of people go to Spirit Prison. BUT that is not the end of the journey, for our Heavenly Father wants to give us every chance He can to make the choices that will bring us back to Him, so the spirits in Paradise are set apart as missionaries to teach those in Prison about Heavenly Father and His plan. Those of us on earth can vicariously do the necessary steps here in holy Temples, for those who accept Christ and His teachings in Spirit  Prison.

     But this is not the final scene. Each person born with a physical body on this earth will at some point be resurrected, as Christ was, to have perfect immortal bodies and then we each will face final judgment. In final judgment we will each go to a world that we earned the right to live on for eternity. The Celestial Kingdom is the highest, where our Heavenly Parents and Jesus Christ live and those who have done their best and merited the Atonement of Christ may live there as eternal family units. This is the only Kingdom where families will be together. The Terrestrial Kingdom is basically for good honorable people who were blinded by the craftiness of men or who were not valiant in their testimonies. The Telestial Kingdom is for those who never accepted Christ and who did some fairly bad things here on earth. There is also a place called Outer Darkness where Satan and his helper spirits will go as will others who openly followed Satan and did his will. 

     But we need to remember that the Lord will give us chance after chance after chance to overcome our weaknesses and become better people until the Savior returns to this earth in all His glory. Wickedness will be destroyed and for those who remain here with Him for the designated 1000 years will have peace and joy and unity before that final judgment comes about.

     So now I have answered the basic questions I started with and so next week I will begin to answer the specific atheist comments that brought this all on!!!
