Almost There!

      The countdown to Christmas is nearly over. Tomorrow is the big day! The day all those little kiddos (and sometimes the big kiddos and even the old kiddos) can hardly wait for. The special feeling during the Christmas season is always an especially looked for experience this time of year. And I am so very grateful for it. But I am even more grateful for He whose birth we celebrate! He who always can and will bring peaceful, positive, warm and uplifting feelings into our hearts, minds, and souls IF we will just take the time to listen and feel Him. Christ was born into this world so that we, His brothers and sisters, could fulfill the purpose for which this world was created AND for which we came here to live! His birth was a momentous thing as was His life. He only lived 33 years and in 3 years He spent His time teaching of His  (and our) Father's plan so all of God's children could live worthy to return to our Heavenly Home and live there with our Heavenly Parents, our Savior and those we have learned to love here as well. And although He taught and continues to teach us the right way to live so we CAN return to our Celestial Home, many of us choose not to listen. We can always come up with plenty of excuses, but in the end those excuses may prevent us from having true and eternal happiness: that true and eternal happiness the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ helps us feel this time of year. But we have to keep it with us through the rest of each year as well and throughout our lives so we can be worthy of not only HIs glorious birth, but His suffering for our sins in the Garden of Gethsemane, His death on the cross and and His even more glorious resurrection from the dead. He did all of this for us and I am so very grateful to Him for His love, courage, righteousness and totally pure example. My prayer for each of you this Christmas season is that you will look within your own hearts and minds and choose to overcome the things in there that keep you from feeling His eternal love and peace all year long! As you truly listen you will know what you need to do to have His peace within your heart, mind, and soul and through that means He will guide you back along the path to eternal peace and happiness with all of those we love, who choose the same! May God bless you my dear friends, in this season, and throughout the rest of your lives to make the choices that will bring you closer to Him.
