Back Up!!

I am just going to add a few words of "back up" on my last two blogs! These are words from church leaders, but as I read them, they were added testimony to my last two blogs.

Sister Kristin M. Yee, Second Counselor in the Relief Society Presidency said in her talk in the October 2024 General Conference: "To truly repent and change, we must first be "convinced of our sins" (Book of Mormon; Alma 24:8-10). A person does not see the need to take medicine unless they understand that they are ill (Robert L. Millet, Becoming New: A Doctrinal Commentary of the Writings of Paul -2022). There may be times we may not be willing to look inside ourselves and see that which really needs healing and repair." (You can also find this in the November 2025 Liahona!)

Also from President Henry B. Eyring in his talk "My Peace I Leave with You," from the April 2017 General conference or found in the Ensign or Liahona, May 2017: "Those who do not see their weaknesses do not progress. Your awareness of your weakness is a blessing as it helps you remain humble and keeps you turning to the Savior. The Spirit not only comforts you, but He is also the agent by which the Atonement works change in your very nature. Then weak things become strong."

We are the only ones that can look inside of ourselves to make the changes necessary to draw closer to becoming the persons we each were set apart to be before coming to this earth. Others can help us, but it HAS to start with us!!!  I firmly believe that our Heavenly Father would not send us on this adventuresome  experience without giving us each a Father's blessing. So may we truly look inside and seek to become that son or daughter He set us apart to be.
