Happy Father's Day Week!

     Yes, I am honoring the good fathers in this world for a whole week. After all, I honored the mothers for a week! And both of them deserve even more than that, at least those who do their best to continue to learn and become better fathers and mothers!

     But this week is in honor of the fathers. I am grateful for the good things my father taught me. He was a hard working, honest man; full of integrity. Many people turned to him for counsel and advise and we always had other kids living with us for various reasons! I am grateful for all he taught me!

     I am also grateful for my grandfathers, uncles and brothers and the good men they are. There are also other men in my life that I have a lot of love and respect for: teachers, leaders, fathers of friends and neighbors!

     Yes, I respect and honor those men who continue to fulfill their responsibility as fathers even when it is not easy! Those that stick to it and don't walk away when the going gets tough!

     And with all my heart I give thanks to my Heavenly Father for continuing to put up with me and all my weaknesses and allowing me to learn and grow step by slow and shaky step! For the plan of life that includes agency, forgiveness, and love! So grateful for the plan that God created to include the role of fathers and pray that fathers everywhere will work to deserve the honor of the name "father"!!!
