A Deeper Look Inside/ Una Mirada Dentro de Mas Profundidad

     "I, the Lord, will forgive whom I will forgive, but of you it is required to forgive all men." Easier said than done, no? Sometimes the words may be easy, but do the actions back up the words? Do we sometimes say, "Sure, I forgive you," and we honestly mean it, at the moment, but then later it sneaks back to bother us? Another thing we may do is say we forgive, but we definitely are not going to let them forget what they did! After all, don't they need to be reminded of all the bad things they've done so they won't do them anymore? Don't we just have to keep jabbing them with that pitchfork to help keep them on the straight and narrow. But wait a minute? How Christlike is that? I mean He did say, "Go and sin no more," but do you honestly think that if He saw those people again He would go into reminding them of the bad things they did? And even if they had done them again and they came back and begged again for forgiveness, would He deny them? Did He not say that we need to forgive "seventy times seven"? And if you seriously have to keep track of each offense until you reach the total of seventy times seven, how Christlike is that? None of us are perfect, but the more we remind everyone of their weaknesses and messups the more they will pull away from us and may just go back to those things. Why? Could it be that, if the people who are supposed to love and help them, can't truly forgive, move on and help them, the end result  could be sad for both? Yes, they are wrong to go back to their wrong doing, but Jesus also taught us what to look forward to IF we choose to condemn, criticize and remind others of their shortcomings, "But if ye forgive  not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." And another witness of this is "Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged; and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.  And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye. Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and. behold, a beam is in thine own eye. Thou hypocrite, first cast the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye." It requires that you look deeply and thoroughly within yourself first and always!!! (Perhaps I will develop this a bit more next time!)

     "Yo, el Senor, perdonare a quien sea mi voluntad perdonar, mas a vosotros os es requerido perdonar a todos los hombres." Mas fácil a decir que hacer, no? A veces las palabras vienen fácilmente, pero las acciones apoyan las palabras? A veces decimos "Si, yo te perdono."y en realidad lo sentimos al momento, pero luego se escabulle para molestarnos?  Y otra cosa que puede ser que hacemos es decir que les perdonemos, pero nunca les vamos a dejar olvidarlo! No se hacen falta recordatorios de todas las cosas malas que se han hecho? No tenemos que seguir pinchándolos con esa horca para ayudarlos a mantenerse en el camino recto y estrecho? Pero esperate! Que tan parecido a Cristo es eso? Quiero decir que El dijo -Ve y no peques mas," pero honestamente tu piensas que si El vio estas personas otra vez El iría recordandoles de las malas cosas que hicieron? Y aun si habían vuelto hacerlos de nuevo y viniesen a  pedirle perdón otra vez, El los negaría? No dijo que hay que perdonar "setenta por siete"? Y si en serio tu vas a grabar cada vez hasta llegue al total de setenta por siete,  como se parece Cristo así? No hay ninguno aquí que es perfecto, pero lo mas que recordamos a otros de sus debilidades y líos lo mas que van a dejar de estar cerca a nosotros y aun así puede ser que vuelven a sus malas hechas. Por que? Puede ser que es porque las personas que debían haberles amado y ayudado no podían perdonarles de  verdad y seguir adelante y ayudarles, el resultado sera triste por los dos! Si, si ellos volvieron a hacer sus malicias, pero Jesús también nos enseno a  nosotros lo que nos espera SI escogemos a condenar, criticar y recordar a otros de sus debilidades, "Porque si no perdonáis a los hombres sus ofensas, tampoco vuestro Padre os perdonara vuestras ofensas." Y otro testigo de eso es "No juzguéis, para que no seáis juzgados. Porque con el juicio con que juzgáis seréis juzgados, y con la medida con que medís, se os volverá a medir. Y por que miras la paja que esta en el ojo de tu hermano, y no echas de ver la viga que esta en tu propio ojo? O como dirás a tu hermano: Déjame sacar la paja de tu ojo, y he aquí la viga esta en tu propio ojo. Hipócrita! Saca primero la viga de tu propio ojo, y entonces veras bien para sacar la paja del ojo de tu hermano." Requiere que mires profunda y completamente dentro de ti mismo primero y siempre!  (Tal vez escribiré un poco mas en cuanto a eso la próxima vez!)
