Inside Out
What truly makes a person beautiful? Is it the fancy hairdo, the perfectly placed makeup, those wonderful designer clothes, the big fancy house they live in, the expensive car they drive, or their fame and fortune? In our society today these seem to be the most important things! Just consider who everyone talks about and how everyone is trying to follow the example of the rich and famous. And, yes, in many instances they are outwardly beautiful people! And, yes, they do drive lavishly high class cars into the fancy garage of their monstrously marvelous house. But is that really where beauty comes from? And if it is, how long will it last? And are they truly happy?
What truly makes a person beautiful? Have you ever met a person that seems to just have an inner glow that draws you to them? And I am not talking about the fancy clothes, perfect hairdo and make-up. That cannot give an inner glow of peace and happiness. That glow, that emanates from this person, comes from the peace of their efforts to be the best person they can be! They may be dressed in clothes that are a bit outdated, maybe their hair is just as normal as yours and maybe they do not even wear make-up. Maybe they drive a worn out old van and their house is a small normal looking home, but after being around them you just feel so much better about you and about life.
Which of these people are truly beautiful? Which one is truly happy? Which one is truly contributing to the betterment of this world and the lives around them? And is it possible to belong to both groups of people?
My answer to that is yes! Because there are rich and famous people who seem to have it all, but go around helping others, serving their fellowmen and trying to be the best person they can be. And there are the poor or middle class people, who are so caught up in the negative and not being all they want to be or have all they want that just cause their own misery and it reflects on those around them.
In reality, truly beautiful people, who leave that glowing wonderful impression upon those who are fortunate enough to associate with them, come from ALL walks of life because true beauty comes from the "inside out" of every single person on this earth. None of us are perfect, but nothing says we cannot strive to find our own inner beauty and make our lives and the lives around us better! And the only thing that can stop us is US!!
