Choosing the Next Crew Member

      Granted when we started our life time voyage we were babies sailing on a Relation Ship created by others, mainly our parents and family members. Soon friends, neighbors, teachers, leaders and others were added until we felt like we were capable of jumping ship, so to speak, from our beginning voyage and starting our own. We have already discussed the most important members in ANY Relation Ship voyage and now it's up to us to begin to add others to our crew. Okay, it should not be totally our choice because anyone we bring on board to stay should be approved by the crew we already have. After all if we go against the guidance of our top crew members we are already asking for an even bumpier ride than normal. AND any Relation Ship voyage has plenty of bumps, squalls, storms, and what not to learn to sail through. So our next pick has to be someone we can trust to stick with us on our voyage through whatever seas we have to sail. Some have lines of people applying for this important job and others may have a very few, but no matter how many there may be, we need to remember to seek the approval of those top crew mates we already have. Hopefully we will listen to their guidance and seek for someone who is willing to obey the rules already set for our long voyage. And, hopefully, this someone will end up being a true partner, friend, confidant, and leader! Someone we can depend on to always be there through the storms and even put up with our sometimes not so great sailing techniques. Of course, we too, will have to learn to do the same for this new crew member. So choose wisely. And make sure this crew member is one that respects our top 4 crew members at least as much as we do. Then by the two of us working together ALWAYS including those top 4 in all ways, we will have a very hard time not having a totally successful voyage come what may. 

     Hopefully you have figured out that this crew member is the eternal companion, through marriage,  that the Lord has placed in your life. Perhaps more will be written on this next week. Still pondering it!
