Can't Have One Without the Other

My second favorite New Testament person is a man who had to have been such a good man. As good of a man as his wife was a good woman! Any thoughts as to who it is? Joseph! He had to have been such a great man for Heavenly Father to let him raise His Son! I am sure Joseph was concerned when he found out that Mary was with child, but the Lord assured him and Joseph followed through as a great example of manhood and fatherhood to Jesus as well as the other children that Jospeh and Mary had. It doesn't really say much in scriptures about Joseph, but it just makes sense that he taught Jesus how to work and all the other things a father back then was responsible to teach his children. And as the title says, "Can't have one without the other!" Mary could not have done what she had to do in raising the Son of God without a reliable caring good husband to help her and be the father to Jesus and their other children!  So that is why he is my second favorite in the New Testament!

And as a little side note, have any of you heard the song. "I Was Not His Father, He Was Mine" by Michael McLean? Such an awesome song! I can't listen to it without crying, BUT it sure backs up what I have said in this blog!! And I just watched the video of it AND that made me cry even more!!So awesome!
