The Other John

      Another of my New Testament favorite people is "the other John"! What other John am I referrring to? John the Beloved. Although the scriptures do not go into huge detail about him and what he was like, we know he had to be fairly special in several ways to have received the name of John the Beloved. Stop and consider for yourself, what qualities would you feel he would need, to be known as John the Beloved? I picture a kind, caring, humble, gentle man who shows love and kindness and respect to all life around him; having such a manner about him that makes people feel calm, loved, and accepted in his presence. I have been around people like that and it is such an awesome uplifting, secure feeling. It truly makes me want to try harder to be like that! And, again, my point in having these favorite people and pointing them out IS to help me, and you, see that we can learn so very much from them!!
