BOM Favorites

       Okay, yes, I am through with my New Testament favorites although in reality I am sure I could talk about each and every person in the scriptures and learn things from them! I mean, isn't that what we are supposed to do, is learn from others?!? And who better than scripture people?!?! But moving on, I am now going to share with you some of my favorite BOM or Book of Mormon favorites!!! Ready?

     Well, some may surprise you OR surprise you that certain ones aren't named. I do like the other people's favorites as well; I like all of them, but I truthfully have always liked Sam of all the brothers. Again, it's not that I don't like Nephi. I am very grateful for all he did to provide us with the BOM, but he gets all sorts of praise. And I have always been one who sort of cheers for the underdog type. Again, by no means is Sam an underdog; he's just the quiet brother who goes about doing good and living as he should without the fanfare. Actually, he could have written his own history and we don't have it yet. But what I really do like about Sam is that he is quietly faithful, courageous, and true to the Lord He accepts the teachings from the Lord that his father, Lehi,  and brother, Nephi, share. To me, Sam does everything as valiantly as Nephi, but more quietly. He supports Nephi valiantly and is willing to humbly follow a younger brother as his leader. Why? Because he has a testimony of the things the Lord asks of them. Just as Nephi does. I am grateful for the quiet and yet courageous example Sam is for us to follow in life.
