Read And Learn!

         Sort of starts like last week's blog, right? But this time is refers to reading! Reading what? Well, technically you can learn from anything you read; for good or bad!  And that is why we have been cautioned about what we should read! We can learn in so many ways from the written word and so I would hope we will all focus on the "good" written word. One of the things we can learn from, in the written word, is the experiences of others, again for good or bad! Something that we are continually encouraged to read are the scriptures, especially the Book of Mormon. And as I have read the Book of Mormon there is so much I learn, especially from the experiences of those I read about. This time I would like to refer to 1st Nephi Chapter 2, as with all scriptures. it has the purpose of teaching us through the experiences of others. In this chapter, obedience to the Lord prevails no matter what, as well as how choices can strengthen your faith and resolve to serve the Lord and do His will. I challenge you to read this chapter in the Book of Mormon  with the thoughts of obedience and faith in mind and see what you come up with! I will add a few more thoughts of my own about it in the coming weeks.
