Sowing and Reaping

      Having read and pondered again several of the Lord's parables lately it has brought to my mind so clearly that we reap what we sow. In other words if you sow/plant peas you can't hope for them to turn into tomatoes! If you sow/plant corn the seeds will not turn into apple trees! And if you plant squash they will not turn into watermelons! Why? Because the seeds you plant grow into the plants they are. The only way you can change that is to plant the appropriate seeds for the end result of the plant you want.

     The same goes for us and our lives! We cannot plant within ourselves negative seeds of thought and expect positive, cheerful thoughts to grow in our hearts and minds. We cannot expect to say rude, mean, and belittling things to others and expect them to return kind, considerate, and loving words! We cannot treat others with contempt, disdain, and belittlement and expect them to return honor, respect, and  glory to us!

     Again, what we sow is what we get! We can change the seeds within us! We can plant good and positive thoughts, considerate and kind words, and respectful, considerate actions! And those good seeds will grow within us and fill us with positive wonderful fruit that will move us forward towards the path of eternal happiness AND help others to do so as well!!
