Camouflaged Blessings Part 2

After writing that last blog I decided that I needed to look a bit deeper myself for camouflaged blessings and as I did so many thoughts came to me which I would like to share. It came to me that many times we do the camouflaging of the blessings ourselves because we see the negative or the difficult or the worst of things instead of seeing the good in them and thus we camouflage our blessings. So let me give a few examples that I personally thought a lot about as I talked with people or just observed people and circumstances around them, and my own, of course! It can be lonely. discouraging, and difficult living alone, BUT you also can make all your own choices much more easily!  Perhaps you really dislike your job, BUT at least you have a job that allows you to pay your bills, etc. You struggle in school, BUT you at least have the opportunity to go to school. You don't get to spend time enough with family and friends, BUT at least you have family and friends. You wish you could eat steak more often, or even once in a while, BUT at least you are not going hungry. You get tired of cleaning the house, BUT at least you have one to clean. Should I go on?!?! Truly we can find plenty to complain, whine, and groan about, but IF we will just stop and think about it from a different perspective, we will realize how blessed we are. It is possible to compare your life to others and you will always find those that seem better off and those that are worse off than you. BUT the true way to see those blessings is to consider where your life would be without them. Find those camouflaged blessings hidden in that job, in that class, in that mac and cheese and in eveything you do, have and are, and soon you will truly find out that you are blessed in so many ways!!! Happy deep down hunting, my friends!!!
