Nature Boundary #3
So we've talked about two of natures wonderful blessings in the world of boundaries: fire and water. So let's try a third one: Wind! Must confess wind is not one of my favorites, but that is when it is not within safe boundaries. In fact, for me, there's nothing much better than a cool breeze on a hot day. And, yes, I must admit that sometimes a good strong wind brings a much needed rain storm and, of course, there are the windmills driven by the wind that produce energy. Another thing of "wind in boundaries" is watching birds gliding through the air. That is an awesome sight. And hang gliders surely appreciate wind as well as someone in a sailboat! So wind CAN be wonderfully nice and useful when held within certain boundaries, right?
But what happens if wind loses control and escapes those much desired and appropriate boundaries? High winds make a mess of many things! And what about the really big scary winds that create so much havoc, disaster and death. I distinctly dislike the high winds we sometimes have to deal with, but I have never had to face a cyclone, hurricane, typhoon or tornado! Hopefully I never will! And my heart goes out to those who do for I think we are all well aware of the devastation they leave behind!
So again boundaries are so very welcome in the natural world of winds, but when wind jumps those boundaries, it can be devastating in so many ways!
