Let's Start at the Very Beginning

      As I mentioned last week I am going to respond to the seven statements made by atheists. I DO have specific answers to each of the statements, but in many ways an understanding of four questions will give many answers specifically and a general overall answer, before I respond to each of the seven! And what are those questions: #1 - Who am I?;  #2 - Where did I come from?; #3 - Why am I here?; and #4 - Where am I going after this life? As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, these questions are answered from the time that we are old enough to begin to understand the questions and the answers, but I know most people probably have never heard clear, easily understood answers to these questions. So, hopefully, the answers to these questions will clear things up a bit. In the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints we often refer to the answers of these questions as "The Plan of Salvation"! I am going to answer each of the 4 questions using the Plan of Salvation, but in 4 separate blogs; otherwise it would be a rather long blog! Not that that in itself is bad, but I wouldn't want any of you, who do read my blogs, to get discouraged reading for too long. And short and sweet always seems to help us get more out of it by thinking about that specific part before adding something else! Kinda like learning your numbers before you start basic math or learning the letters before learning to read, right? And this will probably be the shortest of the answers because question #1 can be answered with one very simple sentence: "You are a child of God; a spirit son or daughter of Heavenly Parents." I will leave you to ponder that answer this week, but be assured next week will add more to that as we answer the question of "Where did I come from?".
