Give Me This Mountain!! Really?!?!?
I know I am a day late with this blog, almost 2 days, but my mind has been filled with so many things lately! For the last several weeks, of course, I already had written my thoughts about the atheist statements and so that was easy enough as long as I had the time to get on and write them here. Now those are pretty much answered and no one argued with me, so..... I DO have a lot of other ideas I will share, but because of the things on my mind lately I just thought I would ramble a bit. BUT ramble a bit about something that is affecting each and every one of our lives. And what would that be?! Tests! Trials! Struggles! Problems! Difficulties! And on and on! All of us are facing them day in and day out! Somedays go better than others and some of those difficulties are a bit easier to deal with than others. But I do not believe there is a person on this world that has not had to deal with some pretty difficult, heart-wrenching, soul-searching, overwhelming, devastating issues in their lives!! And it is just plain hard to do sometimes!! There are those times when you just want to give up, curl up in a corner and cover up with a blanket and forget life! The times you want to disappear into a good book or movie! The times you just don't think you can face it! And it may not help a lot, especially at first, but knowing that you are not alone can sometimes pull you up just a bit. Knowing that others have dealt with it and moved on can give you another sliver of hope! Knowing you have people around you who care and would be there for you in a heartbeat can add a spoonful or two to your cup! And spending time on your knees in humble, sincere prayer can add to those small steps you have tried to take as well. I remember hearing a talk given that mentioned problems and issues and the statement made was "Give me this mountain!" Who wants to ask for problems, right?!?!? But they come whether we ask for them or not and it can be a tough call! But mountains always go up! And it really doesn't matter if you run, walk, stagger, or crawl you are still moving! And that is the point! WE HAVE to keep moving no matter how hard it may be! We can't quit! WE have to reach the top of that mountain EVEN if we arrive there and realize there is another one waiting to be climbed!!! And each time we are able to make it to the top we become stonger and better! We begin to become the person that our Heavenly Father set us apart to be before we came to this earth. So, my dear friends, let's do this! Let's take the mountains set before us and keep reaching for the top no matter how slow and shaky our progress is! The Lord DID NOT put us here to fail, but in order to become the best that we can be we have to be tested!!! We have to prove to ourselves as much as to the Lord that we will keep going and never quit!! Because as another saying I have heard goes, "I didn't say it would be easy, only that it would be worth it!!" WE CAN DO THIS!!!!!
