Honor the Honorable
I guess this could sort of be expected, although it was sort of a last minute decision, so surprise or not I just want to take a few minutes and express my gratitude for so many people, "honorable people", who deserve our love, respect and honor. Many of them will receive double honors this Memorial Day because the purpose of this day is just that "to honor those who willingly served and gave their lives" for us and our freedoms. Those who fought in so many wars from years and years ago, as well as those not so far back, that allowed us the freedom to live in this land! And even those from before that who allowed us to have the opportunity for life upon this earth. I hope that we may all continue to honor and respect those who are still putting their lives on the line for us in so many ways. Stop and think about people in your life who have helped you in countless ways to become who you are and to have what you have. May we say a special prayer of gratitude this Memorial Day week for those very people who have allowed us to be so blessed in so many ways. And may we never forget to give thanks to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for not only laying down His life for us, but for taking our many sins, weaknesses and mistakes upon Himself so that we can continue to learn and grow and someday reach the goal of becoming like Him and returning worthily to our Heavenly Parents!!
