New Testament Favorite
Okay, since I already said in the very first one of these "favorites blogs" that Jesus Christ is my very favorite person of ALL scriptures, we shall move on to my favorite New Testament person besides the Savior. And that would be the woman who dedicated her life to raising, teaching, loving, and being the mother of the Son of God. I have always been in awe of Mary; to be so worthy to be the mother of the Son of God! That enough is hard for me to comprehend, but then what she had to have been like to teach Him correct principles. I often wonder if she ever looked at Him and wondered if she would ever be truly worthy to raise the Son of God! I am the mother of five sons; spirit sons of God, and I often regret not having done better in raising them. However, I am so very grateful for each of them and the part they play in my life and all they do for me. But to consider that Mary was the mother to the flesh and blood Son of God who would become the Savior and Redeemer of all mankind. Wow, I cannot even imagine how she must have felt at times. But by her words, as she accepted that responsibility, we can see that she was a woman of great faith and humilty; a truly chosen vessel of God. I honor and respect her and all that she had to go through with Him, because a truly dedicated mother suffers the pains and trials of her children as she does their joys and accomplishments! I personally would like to sit down with Mary after this life and ask her how it felt. An exchange of mother memories with the mother of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
