Examples

      It was our Branch Conference today and our dear Branch President gave such a wonderful talk about examples in our lives. Think about the people in your lives who have been good examples. He brought up that most of us look up to our parents and our desire is to become like them. I am 100% grateful for the great examples my parents were to me in so many ways. I am also grateful for my wonderful brothers and sisters and their loving, caring examples as well. I had awesome teachers and leaders in church as well as in school and extra-ciricular activities. I also had great friends and their parents who were examples to me. And I am sure you can all think back and remember many in your own lives, and even in the present day. But there is one we all have and He is the perfect example of any and all things in our lives. And that perfect and wonderful example is our Savior Jesus Christ. And, as our Branch President pointed out, everything He has done and continues to do, He does because He loves us. He IS our eldest Spirit Brother and He has set for us the perfect example. And His love and patience in helping us follow His example are always available to us! But it is our choice to do so. He will help us in any way He can, but we have to do our part to show Him that we want His help. Does that mean that eveything is going to be easy and perfect? No! Was it easy and perfect for Him? NO! Definitely not, but He still set the example for us there as well. So let's do our part to learn more of our Savior and work on improving our relationship with Him so that we can feel His love around us as we walk the path of life, whether it is rocky, muddy, filled with all kinds of obstacles to deal with and even when we have smooth sailing for a bit. Following His example will see us through it all!!!
