Love Is Patient

      Last week I talked a bit about love being more than just a one day  or a one month holiday thing! It's a day to day, minute to minute thing we all need to work on. We need to learn to love ourselves as well as to love those around us. One of the qualities of love is patience. And patience is not always easy, but it is so essentially important. We need to learn to be patient with ourselves and our weaknesses, recognizing that we cannot overcome them in one day. It may take time, but if we keep at it we will slowly, but surely overcome them. And some things will be harder for us than others. Some will require more work and effort on our part. That does not mean we can't overcome them. It will just require more work, effort and patience    

     We also need to be patient with others. We don't know what they are going through and maybe they are really trying to overcome their own problems. BUT like us they have those things that are harder for them and will require more effort, work and patience. And we need to respect their efforts and be patient with them as well. Live the "golden rule" here as in all things we do for and with others!! We should be as patient with them as we want them to be with us. 

     All of us have some things that are easy for us and some that are hard. Maybe what is easy for us is hard for others. And maybe what is hard for us is easy for others. So let us remember that a little patience with ourselves and one another can go a long way to helping us all keep moving forward towards becoming the best we can become!!!
